Would You Get Got?

I turned a cybersecurity threat report into an interactive challenge that lets people experience the insight rather than simply read it. By putting the audience inside the decision, the artifact makes complex information more tangible, memorable, and easier to act on and share.

Would You Get Got?

The artifact: An interactive test of scam instincts. Four real threats, one decision each, and the moment most people miss.

The problem

How do you make important information compete for attention?

Cybersecurity reports are full of valuable insights, but most people will never read them cover to cover. And even when they do, reading about a threat is very different from recognizing it when you're the one making the decision.

I wanted to explore what happens when you move beyond summarizing information and instead let someone experience the insight for themselves.

Why this

I started with a simple question: Would I actually recognize these threats if they happened to me?

That question became the artifact.

Using F-Secure's August F-Alert threat bulletin as the source material, I took four real cyber threats and reframed them as quick decisions. Instead of telling someone what to watch for, the experience puts them in the moment, asks them to choose, and then reveals what actually happened.

What interested me most wasn't building a quiz. It was exploring a different way to communicate complex information.
